Graphite Foil

carbon carbon products

Graphite Foil is a highly reflective, flexible graphite sheet material. It is used as a sealing material for high temperature, high-pressure transfer of steam, water, gases, chemicals and corrosives, usually in the form of a gasket. Graphite foil can also be used as a thermal barrier at extremely high temperatures providing excellent reflectivity as well as a physical barrier which will help prevent infiltration of various process gasses.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Available in a variety of thickness ranging from 0.010 – 0.125
  • High tensile strength and flexural strength
  • High carbon content
  • Can be die cut into special shapes and sizes per customer request
  • Available in: rolls, sheets, tape and gaskets
  • Low relaxation rate
  • High thermal and electrical conductivity
  • Resistance to most chemicals
  • Conformable to irregular sealing surfaces
  • Resistant to a wide range of temperatures
