Graphite Foil
Graphite Foil is a highly reflective, flexible graphite sheet material. It is used as a sealing material for high temperature, high-pressure transfer of steam, water, gases, chemicals and corrosives, usually in the form of a gasket. Graphite foil can also be used as a thermal barrier at extremely high temperatures providing excellent reflectivity as well as a physical barrier which will help prevent infiltration of various process gasses.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
- Available in a variety of thickness ranging from 0.010 – 0.125
- High tensile strength and flexural strength
- High carbon content
- Can be die cut into special shapes and sizes per customer request
- Available in: rolls, sheets, tape and gaskets
- Low relaxation rate
- High thermal and electrical conductivity
- Resistance to most chemicals
- Conformable to irregular sealing surfaces
- Resistant to a wide range of temperatures
